Open Division - Men & Women

Eligibility:   This sport is offered at the Open Division level only, however, athletes under age 18 may be eligible. To determine if you are eligible for this sport you must read the  Eligibility Rules.

Tryout Registration Fee: $10.00 Non-Refundable.  You must register online before attending the tryout.

Rules: Coxswains must meet USRA specifications.

Regional Qualifying Event:  Applicants must attend a Regional Tryout Regatta.  A single, doubles and eights race will be rowed.  Two additional events will be rowed at the Finals:  a quad and a four w/cox.  These two races will be conducted using the regionally qualified athletes and 2 additional second place finishers selected by the Regional Coach.  Athletes must row in the event in which they qualified and a maximum of one other event (quad or four w/cox).  Applicants must provide their own equipment.

Regional Team: From the results of the Regional Qualifying Event, each Regional team will consist of the first place finishers (men & women) in the Single, Double and Eight events, with an additional 2 rowers (men & women) selected by the coaches from the 2nd place finishers.  For the Finals, the maximum number of rowers for a Region cannot exceed 28.

Finals Events:(All distances will be 2000 Meters)
Open Men:  Single, Double, Eights, Quad, Four w/cox
Open Women:  Single, Double, Eights, Quad, Four w/cox
